Incorrectly Filed Tax Liens

State law enables taxing entities to record tax liens against a manufactured home title (now called a statement of ownership and location) for delinquent taxes. Unfortunately, because most tax liens are filed electronically, a filing with an incomplete or partial serial number matching another record may be applied to the wrong record and go unnoticed.

If you find that a tax lien has been incorrectly filed, simply contact the taxing entity who recorded their liens so the lien(s) can be removed or feel free to contact the Manufactured Housing Division’s Tax Lien Department at 800-500-7074 x52889 or x52884 for assistance.
