The Department is recognizing Governor Rick Perry's designation of June as Homeownership Month as an opportunity to remind residents that the state housing agency offers a wide spectrum of programs that support homeownership beyond the initial home purchase.

TDHCA works in partnership with private lenders, cities, counties, and eligible nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting homeowners through an array of services.

These range from mortgage loans and/or down payment and closing cost assistance to home rehabilitation, reconstruction, or replacement; to weatherization, which helps increase home energy efficiency; to home modifications that enhance accessibility and safety for persons with disabilities. More »
