The 45-day public comment period begins July 5, 2013, and continues through August 19, 2013. The State of Texas, in its Consolidated Plan, certifies to HUD that it will affirmatively further fair housing. TDHCA, as the lead affordable housing agency for the State of Texas, periodically prepares an AI for submission to HUD. The topics that are analyzed-demographic data, policies, and practices-shape circumstances that influence the abilities of low-income households to secure decent, safe, and affordable housing. The AI examines actions, omissions, or decisions based on race, color, religion, gender, disability, familial status, or national origin that may directly or indirectly restrict fair housing choices.Beginning July 5, 2013, the AI will be available on the Department's website at www.tdhca.state.tx.us.
