02:00 PM
01/20/2012
Disability Rights Texas
7800 Shoal Creek Boulevard #171E Austin, TX To call into the meeting, use the following call-in information:
Phone Number: 877-226-9790;
Participant Code: 9749661 Details: The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) believes that consultation with community advocates, funding recipients, and potential applicants for funding is an essential prerequisite to the development of effective policies, programs, and rules. In order to augment TDHCA's formal public comment process, a workgroup is utilized, affording staff the opportunity to interact more informally and in greater detail with various stakeholders and to get feedback on designing more successful programs. Providing services and housing to persons with disabilities presents unique challenges and opportunities. TDHCA maintains the Disability Advisory Workgroup to provide ongoing guidance to the Department on how TDHCA's programs can most effectively serve persons with disabilities.
If you have any questions about the Disability Advisory Workgroup, please contact Kate Moore at 512-936-7804 or mailto:kate.moore@tdhca.state.tx.us.
