TDHCA Calendar

The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) will conduct an in-person Income Determination Training in Austin on Thursday, June 1, at 8:30 a.m., Austin local time, in room 320 at the Thomas Jefferson Rusk Building. The Thomas Jefferson Rusk building is located at 208 East 10th Street, Austin, TX 78701. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the training will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. The Income Determination Training focuses on eligibility requirements of TDHCA's various affordable housing programs. All affordable housing property owners and managers, and all HOME program contract administrators are invited to attend. The course is taught by TDHCA compliance staff and covers topics such as income, assets, student status, documenting household income, and more. The training is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with breaks in the morning and afternoon and a break for lunch. Lunch is not provided. The Regional Allocation Formula (RAF) Methodology utilizes appropriate statistical data to measure the affordable housing need and available resources in the 13 State Service Regions that are used for planning purposes. The RAF also allocates funding to rural and urban subregions within each region. The RAF is revised annually to reflect current data, respond to public comment, and better assess regional housing needs and available resources. The public comment period for the Draft 2024 RAF Methodology will be open from Monday, May 22, 2023, through Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. Central Time. Written comments concerning the Draft 2024 RAF Methodology may be submitted by mail to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Housing Resource Center, P.O. Box 13941, Austin, TX 78711-3941, by email to info@tdhca.state.tx.us. Comments must be received no later than Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. Central Time. The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) and the Texas Apartment Association (TAA) are presenting online Housing Tax Credit (HTC) Training on Thursday, June 22, 2023.This training will be led by TDHCA compliance staff and provides a solid foundation of information that owners, managers, and on-site staff need to know in order to be in compliance with requirements for the HTC program.You must register with TAA. Access instructions and materials will be emailed to each registrant no later than the day before the online training.
