The course is taught by the compliance staff at the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. The program is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with lunch provided from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Certificates will not be given to attendees who arrive after 9:00 a.m. This program is approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission for 7 MCE credits. The document reviews the Department's programs, current and future policies, resource allocation plan to meet state housing needs, and reports on 2012 performance. The Department is required to submit the SLIHP annually to its Board of Directors in accordance with Chapter 2306.072 of the Texas Government Code. The public comment period for the Draft 2013 SLIHP is from Friday, January 4 to Monday, February 4, 2013.
