MHD Announcement: Tax liens with incorrect home identification numbers

A substantial number of tax liens filed and being filed have been identified as having incorrect, artificial, or fictitious HUD Label, seal, or serial numbers. While these liens are “on file”, they do not match a title record and are not enforceable.

To reduce this unusable data, we will continue our practice of returning any tax lien filed with obvious identification numbers, as unrecordable.
