TDHCA Holding Two Application Workshops for Disaster Relief Funds

TDHCA will hold application workshops in Beaumont and Nacogdoches January 19 and 20, respectively, to help area counties and eligible nonprofit organizations apply for approximately $10 million in federal and state disaster relief funds. The funds will aid the region repair or replace homes damaged by Hurricane Rita. An additional $3.5 million in Housing Tax Credits will also be available for allocation regionally to qualified private developers.

The Beaumont workshop will be held from 1 pm to 5 pm on January 19 at The Entergy Building, Edison Plaza Cafeteria, 350 Pine Street. The Nacogdoches workshop will be held January 20 at the C.L. Simon Recreation Center, located at 1112 North Street, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

The workshops will help eligible applicants apply for and administer these disaster relief funds. Eligibility status for counties, nonprofit organizations, and qualified developers will vary depending upon the source of funds. Read the TDHCA news release (PDF) for more information.
