TDHCA Launches New Web Program Area for First Time Homebuyers

TDHCA is pleased to announce the availability of its new First Time Homebuyer program web page: www.myfirsttexashome.com. The page includes customized content specifically designed for REALTORS®, lenders, and first time homebuyers, making it easier than ever before to buy your first home.

The site features new tools for use in the home buying process, including a comprehensive mortgage calculator, which pre-qualifies prospective homebuyers based on the region in which they are seeking to purchase a home; a lender locator to assist buyers and REALTORS® in finding approved local lenders; and an updated listing of available funds. The new program area's domain name should also make it easier to remember and access.

Currently, over $140 million is available under these various programs, some with interest rates as low as 4.99 percent. For more information about TDHCA's First Time Homebuyer programs, consumers may call 800-792-1119 or visit the program's new web page.
