TDHCA Board Member Serves as Judge on "House Rules" Television Series

TDHCA Governing Board member Shadrick Bogany of Houston is serving as one of three judges on the home remodeling reality television series "House Rules," presented by Lowe's. Cable television station TBS Superstation will air each episode over the next 12 Friday evenings beginning October 10th at 7 p.m. Bogany, who is a licensed real estate broker and manager of ERA Bogany Properties in Houston, will provide a weekly evaluation on the impact of each team's renovation on the value of the home.

"House Rules" pits three teams of amateur home remodelers against each other in a new reality series that will result in one team winning the home they have renovated. Each week, the teams compete to win their share of the remodeling allowance used to pay for the renovations. At the end of the 12-week competition, viewers will select the winning team. The team with the most votes will actually win the deed to their newly remodeled home. TBS Superstation will announce the winning team on December 19.

"This is a very unique program, and I think it will be a series that everyone will be able to relate to," Bogany said. "These are everyday people, people with dreams, but who are all amateurs at home remodeling. There were no professionals involved."
