TDHCA to Hold Hearings in Harlingen, Corpus Christi, Waco, Lufkin, and Houston

TDHCA has scheduled five public hearings October 6-8 to accept comment on several proposed policy and rule changes and planning documents required by the Texas Legislature or the federal government. The Department will hold these hearings in Harlingen and Corpus Christi on October 6, Waco and Lufkin on October 7, and Houston on October 8.

These five hearings will conclude a series of 13 meetings TDHCA has held statewide to accept public comment on numerous Department plans, rules, and documents. Among these documents are the proposed 2004 Qualified Allocation Plan and Rules (QAP) which contain the methods by which the Department will administer the 2004 Housing Tax Credit Program allocation.

Other key TDHCA policies, programs, and services for which the Department will accept comment include rules administering the Multifamily Bond Finance Program, HOME Investment Partnerships Program, and Housing Trust Fund; Regional Allocation Formula; Affordable Housing Needs Score; Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation's Private Activity Bond Draft Rules and Regulations; and six others.

TDHCA has scheduled two public hearings October 2-3 to accept comment on several proposed policy and rule changes and planning documents required by the Texas Legislature or the federal government. The Department will hold these hearings in Austin on Thursday, October 2, and in San Antonio on Friday, October 3.

These hearings are part of a series of 13 meetings scheduled statewide to accept public comment on numerous Department plans, rules, and documents. Among these documents are the proposed 2004 Qualified Allocation Plan and Rules (QAP) which contain the methods by which the Department will administer the 2004 Housing Tax Credit Program allocation.
